Practices

Because we must limit our practice sessions to relatively short workouts (to make it possible to have smaller practice groups in order to get the most out of our practices), we need to have children enter and exit the pool promptly at the beginning and end of their practice sessions. This is imperative if we are to remain on schedule. Young children should be attended to at all times and should not be in the pool unless they are on the team AND it is their specific practice time. We do not have lifeguards on duty during practice and it is not the responsibility of the coaches to watch any children other than those they are coaching at the time.

Children (other than those currently practicing) are not allowed to have even their feet in the water. This applies to adults as well. Please note also that the kiddie pool is closed during practice and strictly off limits to ALL.

It is preferred that your children attend practice daily if possible. They get more out of the program with regular attendance and their performance at meets will certainly reflect the amount of effort they put into training.

From time to time we have had problems with children playing in the bathrooms and creating a mess and causing damage. Please speak to your children about proper use of the facilities and if you see a child mistreating any part of the facility, please let a board member know right away. Families whose children are caught mistreating the property will be asked to either clean the bathroom or repair/replace damaged items, depending on the nature of the damage.
